The year was 2014…
"Stop dreaming! You can never get a job at a company like Zoho. You're a bioengineering graduate for god's sake!"
- Friend of a friend (Currently Member Leadership Staff, Zoho)
So, I took up the challenge…
I was a master's student with a bioinformatics degree with a 8.9 CGPA and zero job prospects.
So, I did a self-analysis.
I learned about how product companies function and how they made money.
I got lucky when my friend forwarded my resume to Zoho.

I started as a technical writer at Zoho
2015
  • Joined as a technical writer for Zoho Expense 3 weeks before launch.
  • Wrote the entire knowledge base and reviewed product copy—all in 3 weeks.
2016
  • Became the technical writer for Zoho Books (All five editions—US, UK, EU, AUS, and IN)
  • Oversaw the work of junior technical writers for Zoho Invoice and Zoho Expense.
  • Started working on the launch of Zoho Books India edition.
2017
  • Trained and supervised the day-to-day activities of seven technical writers, one for each of Zoho Finance suite's products.
  • Moved onto a product evangelist role.
  • Traveled across the country and spoke about the benefit of cloud-based accounting solutions for small businesses
I grew into a product evangelist role
Things I'm proud of
  • Worked on the front page newspaper ad that came out on July 1, 2017
  • Worked on the radio ads.
  • Trained a 50-member support team on taxes before the launch of our 1800 helpline.
  • Managed operations during the India edition launch. This included building a custom CRM from the ground up using Zoho Creator.
  • Spoke at Accounting general of India, Assocham events, The Economic Times Summit, etc. (Why it matters?)

I moved to Freshworks in 2017
  • Joined as a Senior Technical Writer.
  • Moved to Product Marketing within a year. Stepped up when the team was short of a product marketer.
  • Was part of a 4-member product marketing team that played a key role in taking Freshservice from $25 million to $50 million.
  • Hired and trained two technical writers who grew into senior roles by the time I left Freshworks.
  • Grew into a lead role within 18 months of moving into Product Marketing. Owned the GTM strategy for Freshservice and managed a team of three.
  • Owned and executed the “Year in review” campaign two years in row.
  • Ran the “Quarterly feature roundup” webinar.

Joined Level AI in 2021
  • Only product marketer in the company (~1.5 years)
  • Responsible for creating 95% of all sales enablement collaterals, help documentation, and product emails.
